The Tar Heel Cup Matches showcase the top 8 male North Carolina amateurs versus the top 8 North Carolina CPGA golf professionals.  The Tar Heel Cup Matches are invitation only and players are selected by CGA Men's Rankings.

Format: Day 1: Four-Ball matches. Day 2: Singles matches.

Winner: Each match is worth 1 point. Total of 12 points available. Amateurs needs 6 points to retain Tar Heel Cup. Professionals need 6.5 points to win.

All Time:  Professionals leads 14-6-3 all-time in the series.
